About this Course
Would you like to use your love of reading to promote healing, happiness & human connection?
Social bibliotherapy is an innovative program that gets people talking about literature and life. It’s fun to learn, easy to implement in services, communities and organisations, and proven to improve mental wellbeing for participants.
Join us for this free webinar with Christopher Smith, Founder and CEO of Shared Reading NSW to gain an insight into what social bibliotherapy is, how it helps people, and how you can use it to help your clients or community.
Chris is a passionate advocate for Shared Reading and its ability to change people’s lives. Many years ago, he began researching the efficacy of bibliotherapy and the healing potential of literature in London. This interest eventually led him to be trained as a facilitator by The Reader Organisation in Liverpool, UK, where he saw first-hand the power of the simple act of people coming together to read aloud. In his shared reading practice, he has seen people transformed from passive, shy, disempowered and isolated individuals into active, engaged, confident and articulate members of a community.
This is what drives him to bring the power of shared reading to as many communities as possible.
For attending our free webinar, we will also offer a $200 discount on a Shared Reading Facilitator Training Course for therapists, organisations or community members. You can find details of our facilitator training courses here:
